Cardboard Boxes

I made it back to Austin Sunday night in time to be at the Stone's Easter Service. The worship was intoxicating and God spoke through Matt and wrecked me out. Remember last week when I was asking God to let me feel the weight of my sin that nailed Him to the cross? Yeah, He did it. And it was good. Hard, but good. You should click here to download and listen to the sermon. Matt did a phenomenal job defining what the Bible says a true Christ Follower looks like.

Following the sermon, this video was shown. Watch it. Seriously, the whole thing. (Remember to scroll down and pause the music on this blog, and give the video a minute or so to download)

Cardboard Stories from The Austin Stone on Vimeo.

As partners of the Austin Stone shared their hurts and sin and suffering, and claimed a promise of God, I sat and wondered what would my cardboard box say? Who was I before Christ? How have I turned from Darkness to Light? I am still wrestling with that into this week. I would encourage you to consider it too. What does your box say? Does it even have another side?

Paul talking about the day he met Jesus...

And I said, 'Who are you, Lord?' And the Lord said, 'I am Jesus whom you are persecuting. 16 But rise and stand upon your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a servant and witness to the things in which you have seen me and to those in which I will appear to you, 17 delivering you from your people and from the Gentiles— to whom I am sending you 18 to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me Acts 26: 15-18
