I give in...

So I have been thinking for a while now about starting a blog, and finally decided it was time. I love reading other's blogs and continue to find things in my life that I would share if I had my own. I have never been great at keeping a diary or journal, and my only blog attempt during the summer I spent in Spain was fun, but only lasted a few weeks. So here it is, my newest adventure and I hope you'll read. I promise you will be entertained!

One of the reasons I finally decided to do this is because I wanted to share about the trip I am taking to Haiti in March. A team of 8 from my church, is headed down to work with Real Hope for Haiti at their clinic and rescue center, as well as check out several other ministries in the country. I have been to the Dominican Republic twice and have since had an interest in seeing the other half of the island. Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and they need the love of Jesus in so many ways. I am so excited to see how God will use my passion and skills for nursing to change people's lives. Over the next month and a half, I will be raising financial and prayer support for the trip and want to have a place to keep my faithful supporters updated. So stay tuned...

In other exciting news, I will be submitting my first big girl job application today (and it's not in Texas!). It has been an ordeal, especially these last few days, to apply for this job but God never ceases to be faithful. I am praying for peace that surpasses all understanding because I desire so much to trust His Sovereignty in this job searching process. So where will I be living 6 months from now you ask? Again, stay tuned my friend....
